Mulgoa Nature Reserve The Rock Lookout area of Blue Mountains National Park is situated within the historic Mulgoa Valley, only minutes from the bustling city of Penrith. A short track of a few hundred metres leads to The Rock with superb views of the Nepean River. A longer track of 2.5 kilometres leads from the car park through swampy heath.

Direction: From Penrith, head south along Mulgoa Rd. Once you reach Mulgoa, turn right into Fairlight Road and follow it to the end. The last few kilometres of Fairlight Road leading to The Rock Lookout is an unsealed road. A short walk from the car park through bushland leads to "The Rock". Access to the lookouts is during daylight hours only.

It is situated within the historic Mulgoa Valley. Only minutes from Penrith, the walk starts on Fairlight Road. The road in is suitable for all cars and there is plenty of parking available. Views from The Rock Lookout. The Rock lookout provides a great view of the Nepean River and only a short 250m walk to the lookout from the carpark.
